When faire season starts my memory of what happened during he week seems to go out the door. Looking at my calendar doesn't help much. Luckily my computer enables me to edit, since as I start typing I often remember stuff that happened before.
Monday the 4th was a busy day. Rest, recovery, some sewing, and working on my presentation for Sunday. I briefly made it over to my son's house. Good to see people.
Tuesday the 5th I was scheduled to work at the Gallery. Since I was the extra I got sent home early, but I didn't mind. Much to do. Mom and I even had time to run a few errands-like going out for dinner at CA Pizza Kitchen. Yum!
Wednesday the 6th was a lot of errands. I dropped off the shirts I had made for Bri's boys. I worried about the shirts fitting until I actually saw the shirts on the guys. Home in time to make dinner for my son. Had a nice visit.
Thursday the 7th I worked a closing shift at the Gallery. It was slow at Knotts all week. Had a good day.
Friday the 8th started with me getting up somewhat early. Out to Corona faire site I went. The faire opened the following day and Ravenwood had far too much work to do. Remember, we had spent the prior 2 weekends out at Escondido. In less than a week we had to get our entire camp transplanted. Whee! I helped out where I could, but all too soon it was time for me to head home. In the early evening I took my mom to the Knotts Employees Family Bar-B-Que. I think it was a tradition started by the Knott family. This was as close as I could get to taking my mom out for Mother's Day dinner. The food was good and we got to wander around, with me talking to people. We didn't win anything, but it was fun. Mom loved the people watching. Came home for that in time to leave for the movie theater to go see the new Star Trek movie.
On Saturday I had a closing shift over at Toy and Magic. I like working there. Especially since they're moving the bulk of the toys elsewhere and it's becoming more and more a store filled with magic and fantasy stuff. I had good sales and I got to finally meet the new professional magician they hired. Nice guy who knows his stuff.
Home and to sleep asap, since Sunday started too early.
