Oh $16.10 in library fines you could have been better spend…

Me: So, when does the library call about overdue books?

Librarian 1: A week, I think.

Me: A WEEK!!! A bloody week?!? That’s bogus! Do you know who I am?

Librarian 1: I do have your library card.

I think the SPLCAT is one of Freyja's giant lynxes that pulls her chariot and wants us to think he's cute and harmless because he is portrayed as a cute little kitty in Freyja's iconography.

I am developing a theory about library cats. They are not nearly as innocent as they seem.

Personally, I think that there should be an option on the university site to have them send you an email the day BEFORE the books are due! Its all internet anyway, so it wouldn't really be that hard, would it? It would save me from having to pay $14 in fines...

I have been in the exact same situation. Public libraries stink. I gave up on them last year... took me a month and a half to get the new Dune book...

Public libraries can be very frustrating when I am waiting for my turn with a new release. I try to be patient and remind myself that the service is free. I usually end up going out and buying the book.

Unless of course said book is hard cover..... and you don't have the first ones in hard cover..... :P I'm the same way. I'm not laughing at you, I swear!
