Had a doctor's appointment today and she confirmed via ultrasound that James is, in fact, head down, despite him still being wrapped around my right side. She also checked for effacement/dilation and I'm a little effaced, but no dilation yet. So he's hanging in there. I'm only 38 weeks and 1 day, so there's still plenty of time.
