Okay, to recap: One brother is mad at the other for something they've done. One brother decides he has to leave because of it. Camera pans slowly upward as one brother stands and stares mournfully into the distance while the other drives/walks off...
Call me crazy, but this seems awfully familiar. Wait a second -- that's because THIS HAPPENS EVERY FUCKING SEASON. The repetition has sucked out all the emotional impact it once had. After all, the last thousand times have taught us that they'll be back together after a couple episodes anyway, so why would we worry?
This review kind of perfectly encapsulates my thoughts.
I hate that I'm becoming so critical of this show. I used to live for the next new episode, and it used to give me all the feels. Now, it mostly gives me all the rage, and I'm afraid I'm rapidly reaching the point of all the fucks not given. The slow loss of love is making me really sad.
