Both Legendary Women Inc and Sweet have a history of raising money for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. Over the past two years we have separately raised more than $5,500 to help the Reeve Foundation in its efforts to cure spinal cord injuries and improve the lives of those living with paralysis.
From now until February 12 we’re taking donations and selling raffle tickets in honor of Chloe Sullivan/Allison Mack and Lana Lang/Kristin Kreuk. Prizes include a Smallville season 2 poster of Lana and a DVD of the Legendary Chloe commercial signed by actress Allison Mack. It’s rare that different groups within the Smallville fandom come together to work on one project. Partnering with Sweet has been a very positive experience for us. We’re hopeful that next year we can expand the fundraiser to include other fan groups and celebrate more character/actors from the show.

As a side note, I'm actually excited that this team-up has been working so well, and I'm hopeful, as are the other board members, that we'll be able to be more ambitious next year and expand with other groups in the fandom, particularly fans of Clark/Tom and Lex/Michael. But from what I understand, we'll want to extend the raffle to include whatever cast members are interested in donating something for the raffle, so everyone is included. So here's to the future!
I wish I could offer some fic for donations this year, but I seriously cannot. Partially due to time, and partially do to SV Writer's Block. If you're interested, though, in offering something to get other people to donate for you, then I'll spread the names around.
