From Clexmas True Love Drabble Fest, Prompt "Caught"

He was tired of running, tired of fighting, and tired above all of having to defend his actions. Lex had been trying to save the world, and now the entire world was out for his blood, especially the so called “Justice” League.
Chilled to the bone, Lex couldn’t help but shake as he looked up at Superman. Arms crossed, eyes practically red, Lex expected and saw no mercy for him there. He didn’t even try to run away, even though he doubted he would survive a night with the League.
“You got anything down there, Supes?” The Flash’s young voice could be heard in the dank, silent abandoned warehouse.
For a long moment, Superman kept his eyes fixed on Lex. “No, I haven’t found anything.”
Lex blinked several times. He’d lost quite a bit of blood. Perhaps he was hallucinating.
“Okay!” Flash chimed back.
Lex parted his dry lips. “Why?”
Superman uncrossed his arms and held out his hand. “It’s time to stop running-”
“Why?”
“-And time to start talking.”
Lex searched Superman’s bright blue eyes for some kind of answer. Finding none, he started to rise, and stumbled.
Superman caught him. More gently, he said, “Please stop running, Lex. I don’t know what I’d do if one of them found you...”
“It wasn’t... my fault.”
“Come on.”
Surprising even himself, Lex let Superman fold him into his arms and spirit him away to his ice fortress, where the two of them would have a long, long chat.
