Thoughts on Dollhouse Numbers
I've been meta-lazy, and I need to do some stuff on Supernatural and Dollhouse. I don't know if I will on Merlin. I still haven't watched last week's ep, and after that, it'll depend if I'm still even watching the show.

No, it's not good, but since Stargate Universe was new, and TWO HOURS (although more boring than watching white paint dry), I'm not surprised. Also, I don't think the promos from Fox did the ep any favors, nor did the shitty lead in shows.
First of all, the promos were all about the Lifetime mommy drama, which from the outside looks like a filler episode. Even to the halfway mark, it might have looked like mommy drama, and I'm not surprised if people dropped out. They should have cut the mommy drama promo short and added "And guess who returns to the Dollhouse!" with a clip of Madeline/November in the chair, and then her and Ballard with her saying... "I know you."
THAT would have made people realize it was more than an assignment of the week. I don't want to mislead, but even the CW knows that promos need to lure the viewer in.
Secondly, Christ. Til Death? Plus sci fi horror? Whatevs. Move it to Tuesday, create a new show to put in front of it, move it to the 8pm slot, whatever you have to do.
In the meantime, watch and rewatch on the website to make sure they know we still care. I HAVE to because the first part of the ep was so uninteresting to me (NO WHISKEY OR BOYD???) that I zoned out a little! Knowing going in that there's going to be more would help.
If they wanted to make the episode more interesting and engaging, they should have put the Wesley stuff sooner, break up the Echo assignment and get all the plot threads moving earlier so they could connect the Echo assignment with Madeline's 'reward' for serving in the Dollhouse (which they slam home in the end with Echo saying that forgetting would be worse). But they've made it so that Maddie can't feel the pain she felt, so I'm sure she's not going to be doing well. I hope she makes it. I kind of want to see her again, and for Paul to confess that they used her with him, and what happened.
They also need to bring back Loomis, k thx!
