Big News!!!
I got a promotion!!!!! After going stir crazy as a secretary for the last 3 years, I am moving on up! :) A few weeks ago one of the ladies in my office was promoted to a new position. I have spent the last 7-8 months looking for a job in the Mental Health field to no avail, so I decided to ask my boss to be considered for her job, which is a Human Resources Adviser. I'll be working with retirement, workman's comp, awards and beneifits. I am really excited for a job with more responsibility. Somewhere where I can feel like I am actually doing something. It isn't quite the field I wanted, but it will give me great experience and invaluable skills. I'll still be looking for a job in Mental Health, but in the mean time at least I won't be spending my days stuffing envelopes.
Oh, and I also get a pretty nice raise and my own office!!!! SWEET!!! :)
