The family has decided on a name for the cute little fuzzball, namely Shaddow.
I suppose I should get around to actually posting something about my break here in Germany. Mostly, it has been moving. This morning I spent changing my address and paying for next semester at school. It is amazingly easy to change your address. With the Visa office too. It is like registering yourself with the city. Of course, on the way back to Andreas's, we stopped by the Rathaus to register me here, but naturally, Thursday was the only day they weren't open in the mornings.
I would like to note that despite going to sleep somewhere in the neighborhood of 4am, I still woke up at 7:30 without an alarm (Andreas had set it to 8:30 by accident). I figure I must have an internal alarm that works when I want it to, because this is not the first time I have done that. I also really like the clock here. It projects the time onto the ceiling, so you can read it when you lie on your back, and it is big enough that you can read it without your contacts in.
Next on Sunday I am going to the Czech Republic again, this time to Brno, to visit Andreas's best friend Katka. I am really looking forward to see a city that isn't rife with tourism, to see what it is like. With that being said, I am also hoping to buy a set of pretty crystal glasses. I saw them all over the last in Prague (Bohemian crystal and all that), but didn't get any (probly for the best, we got plenty of other stuff). But the more I think about it, the more I think that something like that would be something to keep for a long time, using it as glasses or just as pretty things to put in a lit cabinet.
I guess this week will be the last week with snow here in Germany. I have really enjoyed it, but am also looking forward to summer and warmer tempuratures. One thing I will miss are the wild flowers in Texas and the fresh green of the new grass. Here, the grass has been green all along, even under the snow, so I don't know if I will get to see that. One thing that I will have to hunt down with the camera before the trees grow leaves again are the birds. There are a lot of perching birds here, very pretty ones. One things I don't miss at all are the grackles. Well, I will update when anything interesting happens, but I don't know when that will be.
