my favorite trio moment? this one is a toughie. partially because my recall is for shit and partially because i don't know if i've ever really had a favorite.
i suppose i'll have to go back to the beginning. when the three of them are sneaking out of Gryffindor Tower to go after the stone. starting from when Neville stands up to them and Hermione petrifies him ("You're a little scary sometimes. You know that? Brilliant, but scary.") to the challenges they face in order to get to the stone. it shows what makes the three of them such great friends. Hermione's book smarts come in handy with the Devil's snare. Ron's knowledge of Wizard's chess. Harry's skill on a broom. lots of bravery and loyalty there. and it shows everyone what kind of friendship the three will have in the books to come. and how that friendship will work in the face of adversity.
if only we all could have that kind of friendship.
