hmmm. i think i might just have to go with Harry and Dobby. yes. its an odd kind of friendship, but i've always loved the fact that Dobby went against everything to try and warn Harry. to keep him safe. the little guy was risking a lot by defying the Malfoy family so openly. despite the risks to himself, Dobby did what he had to. he was brave and heroic.
i think it was inevitable that he and Harry would become friends. granted, Harry had his "pity me, my life is such shite" moments, but you can still tell the quality of his character based on who he made friends with. who he surrounded himself with. Ron and Hermione. Neville. Hagrid. Dobby.
