1 - The best book you read last year: Road to Hell by Jackie Kessler. considering i only read two and a half books last year... yeah. it was a really off year for me.

I still haven't read the seventh book of HP. I kept meaning to but, eh, things came up and so on. I didn't care for the sixth one because, I love JK, but she canNOT write convincing romance. The entire Degrassi episode in the middle there was gag-inducing

you're really not missing much. it felt like a shit ton of filler and could have been easily two to three hundred pages lighter than it was. most of the people i know who read it agree that it felt very much like she wrote a fan fic of her own work. i thought a lot of the deaths were just thrown in there and most of them seemed to be pointless. granted... its war and people die in war. but really... it mightly displeased me.

I do remember hearing about and being pissed about how Lupin and Tonks died. How their death wasn't even shown. Just "Oh, look, there are their corpses. Huh."

yeah. she just seemingly decided to decimate the entire cast of characters she created. it was so wrong.
