I about died when I first went to insectlabstudio.com. Everything in there is so insanely cool I couldn't decide what to click on next. Alas, I am not made of money so I couldn't follow through with my initial plan of buying the whole damn lot of it...

And that spider you posted is one of my favs.

Damn the life of starving artist eh?
and damn the pretty temptations that sing and inspire our artistic souls *g*

Yes yes I want them all, this would be the first in the collection I would try and get, then the black widow, then one of the butterflies (can't decide which one?)
Then a beetle (another hard to choose)
and then and then.... lol

When I was originally casting about for what to do to customize my guitar, I had this mad idea of buying a bunch of these coggy litttle critters and affixing them to the front of my guitar - like they were my tiny automaton familiars.

It was far too expensive and it would only work if I could devise a way to actually have them move about on my guitar. And how cool would that have been? :)

Totally dude that should so be made or a jacket with such on!
You should get Robert on that stat!
Though if made on a instrument wouldn't they get in the way of playing?

I would have arranged them on the guitar in those places where my hands and arms -don't- go. Probably one or two on the headstock and a few on the lower part of the guitar's body. Perhaps one or two on the guitar strap...

If they weren't $200-$500 each, it might be doable. That and I don't have any idea how durable they are. It'd be just the thing to hot glue them to the face of my guitar only to have the disintegrate after a show or two.

Aiee. What price inspiration?
