It's nearly midnight and it has only cooled down to 88 degrees. COMPLETE NONSENSE.

Today I attended a 'Respect in the Workplace' training session at the Hilton Hotel in midtown. If you saw Michael Clayton, which you didn't, it was held in the area where George Clooney confronts Tilda Swinton at the end of the film. I was the only ladycake in a group of 11 other company managers, someone from HR and the leader of the course. I wonder if anyone else stopped to notice that? I was also the youngest. And the only one not wearing biz cazh slacks and a button-down shirt. Hell naw I had on a cute little yellow sleeveless summer dress. GLASS CEILING, I WILL SHATTER U!

Did you guys know that nobody is collecting the trash in Naples, Italy now? It's mob-related, of course.

Last night I watched A Hard Day's Night for the first time. I know maaaybe less than the average American about the Beatles, so I came away from it with two very important questions.

1. Were the Beatles known to be involved with groupies?
Answer - no because they were truly a respectable band. But Wikipedia says Paul spent time with prostitutes, so who knows. Does Wikipedia know? I don't know.

2. Who was considered to be the most attractive Beatle?
Answer - I guess if I had really thought about it, I could have figured it out by default. Not the one with the nose (my favorite!), not the one with the eyebrows and not the one with the small eyes. So, ok, the ladies loved Paul (is dead). I can see it.

I listened to The Beatles allll during work today, then spent some time reading Wikipedia. I don't think it ever fully occured to me that I have literally walked on the ground where John Lennon was murdered - it's in my hood. And I once took someone to the ER that he was taken to, although he was DOA. It all makes me very saddo, still.

In better news, I'm taking over a week off work and am going home for my birthday / Father's Day / vaycay. I have no idea what exactly I'm doing other than eating steak by the ton. And probably strawberries. It's restaurant week and I have reservations for The Oceannaire, St Elmo's and Ruth's Chris. BEEF, IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER.

I will be 28 / am an old maid.
