the rundown

chemo was today. blood counts and labwork were fine! determined that last weeks lab results must have been false. no longer have to do the evil test. can eat red meat again. yippee!

so this was the last chemo before we find out if it's working. i'm tryin not to think about it too much, but failing. i'm definitely stressing out. i think that's partially why my insomnia was so bad last night. i didn't fall asleep until after 6:30 am, and i had to get up at 8:30. ugh. it was rough.

had a pleasant enough labor day weekend. saw many movies. here is the spoiler-free run down:

1. Vanity Fair. good acting, but not a great film. the plot was a little lacking for me. the time jumps were often and not always clear. because although the film spanned at least 20 years or so, no one aged a day. were they vampires? reese witherspoon was charming. james purefroy was lovely. but the hair people kept giving him and jonathon rhys meyers fauhawks. now we all know that i love the fauhawk, but was it prevalent in the early 1800s? just wondering.

2. also saw Garden State for the second time. as perfect as it was the first time i saw it. noticed a few things i'd missed. could easily see it again. boy, am i twitterpaited.

3. rented Mystic River. looooong movie. i found it rather predictable as well. to each his own.

M and T were in town with their newly adopted Russian baby. his name is Sasha, short for Alexander, and hi is adorable! T and M invited me out to Vail once again. i really need to take them up on that. they said that if i visit during the off season, all of the nice restaurants are 50% off. anyone wanna come?

think that catches me up. hoping i can sleep tonight. wish me luck.
