I went to hear my mom's choir sing at my grandfather's nursing home yesterday. They were wonderful, and I really love seeing the joy it brings her. Her friends there - they are her second family . . . like I have my Zeta sisters. But here's the big news: they just found out they are going to be singing at Carnegie Hall! Not a one of them could wipe the smile off their face the whole time. You should hear mom, she has not come down off of cloud 9, and I am so happy for her. Turns out it will be next Thanksgiving and they will be singing with other choirs and a famous conductor. Since they won't be practicing Handel's Messiah and the other piece the conductor wrote until they arrive in NYC a few days before, there's a chance I'll get to sing with them. What a dream that would be! And as long as we're in the big apple, we might as well see Wicked :).
