So I've nearly gotten used to my new hours on second shift. In some ways it's very similiar to third shift because I still have my mornings free to do things in town or around the house. The difference is my work and sleep schedule has switched. Instead of sleeping the afternoon away I work, and instead of working though the night I get to sleep.
The Good part is I don't have to set an alarm clock!! I can sleep in as much as I want since I don't have to leave for work till early evening. Still I usually wake rather early, but still feel well rested. I love that!
The Bad part is... I miss my third shift peeps. :( I don't know half the people on 2nd shift's names yet and they are not a very talkative, jokey bunch. I really think the 3rd shifters have them beat at having fun and being at ease while working. There isn't anyone to joke around with or even just talk too yet so I'm kinda bummed about that. Another bad part is my new supervisor likes to talk and ramble on... A LOT!! Usually at the end of shift the supervisor will fill us in on the important updates, or news real quick before its clock out time. This one however, just likes to talk too much. She just keeps talking long after its time to clock out which isn't fun bcs we just don't care and want to go home, but have to keep looking half interested in what she's saying to be nice.
