Just Desserts

When you are not feeling well do NOT mix pills.  I feel terrible.  I just had a three am run to the bathroom to be sick and spend 30 minutes under the hot tap trying to relieve cramps.  I had taken some left over pain killers from the time I had one of my teeth pulled thinking it was the good stuff to knock out pain, but it made no difference and just made me more ill.  Not doing that again.  I usually take 3-4 alleve's and a sleeping pill to knock myself out and sleep through the worst of it.  Of course, I forgot to get more heat wraps from the store last week too.  I'm glad though that I got through Thanksgiving before the worst hit.

Thanksgiving was really nice this year.  We had cinnamin rolls and coffee for breakfast and I watched a little of Macy's day parade before going to Church.  We got back to the house to see my younger sister in a frenzy trying to finish baking her made from scratch green bean casserole.  She loves to cook and makes such rich foods, but she can really go overboard with the amount of food she makes. :)  My niece came along with us ahead to my Aunt's and we chilled out before the rest of the family arrived.  We had a plethora of food!  There was the giant turkey, roast beef, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, green bean casserole, cheesy rice and brocoli casserole, stuffing, rolls, fresh cut veggies, and sweet potatoes.  Dessert had just carrot cake, pumpkin pie, cup cakes, chocolate cream pie, chocolate mousse, and pecan bars.

Its kinda cool to see the clicks we all fall into.  We have the younger kids from 7 and under, the older adults (my parents, aunts, and uncles), the young teenagers, and the young adults.  We had fun playing cards, watching the Green Bay Packers beat the Lions, drinking white wine, chasing after the screams of the little kids making sure their all ok, and undergoing a field subriety test from my big brother.  They gave me a hard time about the wine because it was my ideal to bring it, but darn it I like a little something on special occasions.  ;)

My nephew was there and I got to pinch his cheeks like those old grannies do on tv, but he's so sweet and lets me!  When we got back home I was exhausted, but I sure did have a fun time!
