Rewatching At the End of a Long Spring/With a Song In My Heart, and there are two v. important things that I neglected to mention.

1) Yuuhi is an impossibly beautiful woman (*points at icon*). I mean seriously, she's normally just adorable and makes you want to squish her and give her a cookie, because even off stage she dresses like a twelve year old boy, but you get her all vamped up and I just don't know what to do with myself. Also, she has great legs and a v. nice ass.

2) Drunk!Tani. Oh Tani, i heart you and I heart you even more when you're glomping girly!Yuuhi.

2b) I continue to love Shiokaze Kou completely madly. Seriously. Love.

In far far less entertaining news, my grandmother has disloacted her hip again and is going to have to go in for surgery soon to fix it. She already had her hip replaced two years ago and she's had pretty bad luck with it and though she hates admitting it I know she's scared. Good thoughts or intentions or prayers or whatever else are incredibly welcome.

Five 'siennes whose hotness leaves you thrilled, astounded, bewildered, and dead in a heap on the floor: Ayaki Nao, Maya Miki, Mizu Natsuki (and she has a /twin sister/, how does the world cope?), Shiokaze Kou, Aoki Izumi (who is also too adorable for words, but whatever).

Five non-top 'siennes whose retirements blighted your life in ways too numerous to name: Hatsukaze Midori, Shiokaze Kou, Tsukifune Sarara, Juri Sakiho, and honorable mention to Shijou Rui, Takumi Hibiki and Ayaki Nao for retiring after far, far, far too few shows.

Five 'siennes you never thought you'd like and now you do, at least sort of, or on specific occasions or in specific clothing, or, well, even once counts: Haruno Sumire (*ducks rotten fruit* I'm sorry, the scenery chewing was a bit hard to take at first!), Todoroki Yu (I really don't know why, there was just something off-putting about her at first), Shibuki Jun (honestly the girl's crazy, didn't quite know what to do with that at first), Shizuki Asato (not a fan of her as Death, and that was the first thing I saw, but otherwise she's a darling) and... umm... I was kind of lukewarm on Aran Kei at first? I think?

Five 'siennes who should never, ever, on pain of death, I'm really not kidding about this, wear dresses: Haruno Sumire, Todoroki Yu, Kozuki Wataru, Wao Yoka, Kuze Seika. Most of these almost as much for the fact that /they/ seem miserable as for how just not right they may look.

Five 'siennes whom you can really see in a Death wig: Mizu Natsuki (is it April yet?), Wao Yoka (she has consistently fantastic hair), Maya Miki, Shibuki Jun (if only to see her with not tragic hair for once), Shiokaze Kou (*flails*).

Have decided that in lieu of a pecan pie for Thanksgiving, I'm going to make a genoise of some variety. I was thinking about an apple spice genoise or something, but fannore would probably want to kill me with the smell of apple in the house, so I'm going to go with a v. lightly spiced genoise orange spice whipped cream. If I remember and can afford it I'll pick up 50 ml of grand marnier to finish it. Mmmm. Otherwise it's pretty basic, though since I'm the only one eating the actual turkey I'll probably do a turkey breast rather than a whole bird. Small fridge, limited storage space, I'm the only one eating it, you know how it is.

And now, for the girly stuff. I've decided I'm cutting my hair short-ish again. The logic being that I'll inevitably want to grow it out again before the weather gets warm in the spring, and if I hack it all off now then I can get the whole "gah, want short floppy hair" thing out of my system in enough time to let it grow out again so it's long enough I can pull it up easily when it gets warm and I'd go insane with it hanging on the back of my neck.

*yawn* My bed is singing it's siren song, so time for bed. Good lord, how did it get to be 4am already? Time to light a few candles and say a few prayers for Grandma and then head to sleep.

oozora yuuhi, yamato yuuga, at the end of a long spring/with a song, domesticity, holidays, food, takarazuka, shiokaze kou, family
