Well, my god-awful writer's block was TRIUMPHANTLY SHATTERED yesterday, and the next chapter of The Prophecy of Apollo is now complete and awaiting beta. It's over 6500 words long. That was . . . um . . . unexpected. o_O
Unfortunately, today I find myself once again utterly incapable of focusing on anything even slightly productive. This is not without precedent. I think the issue is that I have really clear ideas about things I want to happen in my stories, but pretty much without fail they all happen at the middle or end of a chapter, so in order to get there I have to come to terms with the fact that I have NO IDEA what comes in between those scenes and where I last left off. *headdesk*
I have been trying to fool my brain by working on things that aren't supposed to be next in my fic rotation; it generally works for about twenty minutes. This is also why my writing tends to happen in big, dramatic bursts like the one yesterday: I finally get in a groove, and I am honest-to-god afraid to stop because if I do it might never start back up again OMG. Unfortunately, that tends to send my brain into some sort of laziness rebellion once it's over, and I'm back to square one.
So basically all of this is my way of saying that I have no idea when the next update will be coming, but in the meantime if anyone wants to entertain me, I'm bored and in need of shiny things. XD
