How is it possible for a fic that starts out with implied repeated sexual assault to end on a bizarrely schmoopy note?

Yeah, I finished that "Kirk gets kidnapped and abused and then Spock saves him and abuses him some more" fic. XD The thing is, even when working in the Mirrorverse sexual assault is such a delicate subject. I'm trying to skirt a very thin line between "this 'verse is completely fucked up" and "this 'verse is completely fucked up in an unbelievable and also incredibly flame-inducing way". I don't know if I succeeded at all. About to do a final read-through and then send it off for betaing, I hope. xlcatloveress , I'm lucky you're so awesome and are willing to read all of this stuff. :lol:
I should probably stop procrastinating and just get on with things.
