And I didn't think work was EVER going to slow down ...

May 10, 2005 14:51

Work has been moving non-stop since I got here Monday morning (30 minutes late, thanks to a flat tire) and I was beginning to think we were never going to slow down. But now I'm finally able to catch my breath.

Not that slow is good right now. Gives me too much time to think about my grandmother, who is lying in a hospital bed waiting to die. It's not real yet ... even though when I left the hospital on Sunday I pretty much realized that would be the last time I saw her. I talked to mom today -- she and Auntieem have been there all the time -- and she told me that the IVs and tubes have been removed, and they're just trying to make her comfortable.

I'm not really sure how I'm going to take this.
