And I ended up at the movies this afternoon ...

Just saw The King's Speech and it was brilliant! I can see now why it won as many Oscars as it did. The acting was simply amazing, and the music was quite nice as well.  And I caught an afternoon show in one of the older theaters in the city which was nice, because it reminded me of when I was a kid and the only theaters were in south Bombay, and they were of the extremely large variety, with balconies et all. The theater was called Regal which considering the picture I went to see was rather fitting.

Getting back to the film itself, there were only a few things that bugged me, like for instance a certain British politician's position on the abdication of Edward VIII, and that while Mr. Logue was reading though the coronation proceedings, the list of titles that George the VI would hold officially after the coronation did not contain 'Emperor of India' which I found odd as it was always mentioned when the official titles. But other than this, it was all good and quite amusing at times.

movie review, my useless opinion
