50 books
So, its a new year, and so far I have read one book :( Not great progress! I do have several others on the go though, so we will see. As for this one, it was:
'In Love and Trouble' by Alice Walker (short stories)
I really enjoyed this book - its was very quick to zip through, but several of the stories really made me stop and think. I already knew I liked Alice Walker (I read 'The Color Purple' in sixth form) but this collection has encouraged me to try reading more short stories - its never been an area I've been drawn to. I got this collection from my local Oxfam Bookshop, so maybe I'll have to go back and scour the shelves for more short stories!
