Shipping Meme: Day 2 & 3
Day 2: A ship you've just discovered
Discovered as in "wow, that ship exists?": Jon Snow/Daenerys Targaryen, Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire series. After finishing season 3 I was skimming FanForum and saw J/D had just as many threads, if not more than, many of the ships I knew to be canon. Curious, I clicked on the latest thread, thinking "They haven't even come close to meeting yet in the series, maybe something happens in the books the show hasn't adapted yet?" But nope, they still haven't even met. It's a ship all based on perceived character parallels and "potential" awesomeness. Which, you know, fine. Not vehemently for it or opposed to it, since it looks like my other Dany ship, Dany/Jorah, is doomed anyway.
Discovered as in, "Hey, I wanna ship that now"?: I haven't jumped aboard any new ships recently, but I think the last one to pique my interest was the aforementioned Dany/Ser Jorah Mormont from GoT. Ruggedly handsome knight who's sworn his life - and though he would never admit it to her, his heart - to his fiery queen? Yeah, I kind of dig that. Doomed though it (and any GoT ship) probably is.
Day 3: Your OTP
The same it's been since 1998, Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Padmé Amidala from the Star Wars saga. I've waxed on and on about them in numerous LJ posts, so I won't retread here. Suffice it to say: Angsty, pretty, passionate, tragic; intimate yet galaxy-altering. <3
Though at the moment, I will say Harry/Hermione is giving A/P a run for its money. ;)
