So, Oklahoma's 100 years old today. How did I celebrate? Spending all day in my bathrobe, watching the last new episode of The Office (waahh!) and munching on potato chips and Junior Mints.

Considering this state was - to put it basically and kindly - founded on the out-and-out robbery by the US government of thousands of people, I find it hard to get excited over the commemoration of an anniversary of that. Not that that particular facet seems to be addressed in many of the Centennial commemoration events I've heard about, though. Then again, our official nickname - the Sooner State - is taken from yet another group of land robbers, so maybe that's not surprising...
