SPX 2011
Another fine gathering!
Ran into a bunch of peeps including: gregmce and undead_q.
Bought some awesome comics including a Time Travelers Guide to Time Travel, a tiny monster, the second installment of Two Italian Guys, and one about green options for dealing with "that time of the month".
It's kind of fun that some of the artists remember me. I chatted with Amanda (who makes monster hats) and Chris (Two Italian Guys) for a bit.
It was super packed which was happily surprising. I sort of figured attendance would be sparse due to the crap economy. Luckily, I was wrong, as it seemed like the artists were having good days.
Came away energized and with new ideas, as usual.
Things to work on:
Most of these are long term projects just to have ready in time for next SPX.
I'm really jazzed about A Tragedy and have already started work on it. It's going to be hand printed with hand-carved rubber stamps in an accordian pleated book. Now, I just have to flesh out ideas and figure out layout and whatnot.
