The horribleness and the awfulness of it will never actually be forgotten

We're kicked back watching Don Knott's The Ghost and Mr. Chicken with Grandpa. Rather a family favorite.  : )  It's always so distressing when Luther tries to convince everyone he was telling the truth and nothing goes right!  (I am very empathizing - to the point that it's almost silly)

Last night my brother Aviator graduated from high school.  I am a very proud sister right now!
The whole day was a culmination of the craziness we've been going through. Ironing, music practice, last minute shoe purchases, ack.  But it all came off without a hitch. (the entry title is a quote from the movie - it bears no connection to the ceremony) The graduate slideshow Aviator put together was quite the success.  And he performed his violin piece almost flawlessly. *grin*
I really hope he doesn't go far off for college, though.  The best way to explain my feelings on the subject is to compare myself to Jo March of Little Women (that makes me feel awfully presumptuous) when she laments how her sisters are all going separate ways. I wish we could stay together, as things are, for years more. : (

Oh, quick P.S. - I did make a little camera obscura using these directions, as planned in my rather loquacious entry on the subject. I have yet to experiment with various lenses and lighting, but it certainly works and is a lot of fun to play around with.  I highly recommend trying it out - it only takes about fifteen minutes to put together with everyday materials! Also, it requires no scientific knowledge whatsoever.  Otherwise I never could have done it...

P.S. 2:  Adults can be shockingly self-contradicting at times. (It always slips my mind that I am an adult until after I start talking about them as an alien group)  First they talk of getting to bed early so we can get to church on time tomorrow. Then they start working on extra outside chores and loading another you-tube video at 10pm.  Okayyyyyy...  Our poor grandfather is not used to such late hours, I can assure you that much.
