In which Adeona burbles about her most recent discovery

Today our family got the May issue of the National Geographic magazine our kind aunt bought for us.  There is a very interesting article about camera obscura, a simple but fascinating scientific toy.  I knew a tiny, puny, bit about them before reading the article, but now I feel like I almost understand how it works, and I'm planning to make my own little one ASAP. And then do some fun experiments.

You may or may not know that some famous artists are thought to have used camera obscura devices, the one I have in mind being Vermeer.

Really, though, you must see the work of Abelardo Morell, camera obscura photographer extraordinaire! Mediocre sample:
