Today I've so far spent 8 hours preparing food. There is chicken broth and Cornish pasties.
Why doesn't my mother make chicken in a broth instead of roasting it? She always roasts it to death and it ends up all dry, but cooking it to death is the point of broth, there's not a lot that can go wrong. And the meat practically dissolves in the mouth.
In conclusion: YAY.
I had a Cornish pasty on the way to Liverpool on a train once, and was intruiged.

Tomorrow: gumbo (or a gumbo-like something)
I wish I'd taken a picture of the kitchen while I was cooking. It looked like a war zone. A delicious war zone.
