Hummm, really, Helena, I think this kind of diet is some of the worse... You may lose weight but you will take it soon after with a bonus. And it's really bad for health too
This kind of diet is very popular in the US... and people are not the slimmest there.
This is only a personal advice... but I would rather recommend to eat a little bit of everything and making some sports. There is no miracle... if you want to lose weight... just reduce the calories and increase the expenses. Also your body needs of everything... a little bit of fat (good fat... like the one in salmon or olive oil...), some vitamins and fibers (vegetables and fruits), some proteins... and some carbs... and certainly more carbs than fat.
I hope I didn't hurt you Helena... this wasn't my purpose. I just wanted to warn you because some serious medical studies have shown that those diets are not good at all. If you feel ready to start a diet I think it's a very good thing... I don't want to discourage you. I'm sorry you think i was trying.
Well maybe I shouldn't have say anything... once again, I'm sorry... I just wanted to help
I don't want to get into a fight with you either. So please let this be. I have many arguments but I do not want to do the discussion now. Please respect different opinions. :)
It's great you're inspired to start a diet. I will just throw my two cents (please don't take it personally), I did a high fat low carb diet and it kinda screwed my liver/spleen. Now after 2 years I am still sensitive to eating high fat foods. I'm just saying, be carefull.
I am happy it's working for you. I think you are being concious of the diet you are doing so that is good. If you feel some pain in your liver/spleen or notice something weird take my advice and stop and do a check up.
I am doing better now. But I have to be careful with what I eat. Well, a balanced diet. Lots of fruit and veggies and small amounts of good fat. And I have to learn to balance, if one day I eat icecream or something with lots of cream or butter, I go easy on simple foods for the rest of the day and following days.
My blood test did ok! So I'm good now. Just have to be careful. But I gave you that piece of advice, especially so you wont prolong too much time the diet. That was my mistake (I did SouthBeach, which is high fat/ protein low carb).
Good luck! It's nice when one has the motivation too start this process.
I gave the little step and started walking 1 hour everyday. ^_^ Let's hope it starts doing at least soemthing!
