Title: The Memory Of
Fandom:
Conversations With Smith (Matrix)
Rating: G
Warning: SONGFIC! Well, sort of. It has lyrics in it. And as usual, CWS spoilers.
Disclaimer: The Warchowskis own Smith,
tanathir owns Gemini, Cole Porter owns "They Can't Take That Away From Me", I own not a damned thing.

She sat in the darkened living room, fingering the heavy material. Tears ran down her cheeks as a memory flooded her, unbidden: her teaching him to dance.
She'd popped a Frank Sinatra CD into the player and grabbed his waist. "Okay, now, follow me..."
"Doesn't seem that difficult" he'd murmured, and soon they were gliding smoothly around the floor as "Old Blue Eyes" (the other one, she'd chuckled to herself) crooned out Cole Porter.
She held the suit jacket to her face and sobbed as the words of the song came back to her.
We may never, never meet again
On the bumpy road to love.
Still I'll always, always keep
the memory of:
The way you held your knife
The way we danced 'till three
The way you changed my life
Oh no, they can't take that away from me..."
"They took it away from you, Smith, but they can't take it away from me," she whispered.

I'm trying to avoid these, but this one was just too... perfect for the word on
15minuteficlets (which was
elegy, by the way). I have no idea if this ever happens in TS, or CWS. Time will tell, I guess.
