Tell me about it; we ate leftovers for two days straight. We had too much mashed potatoes and some carrots and green peas left, so we just mushed it all together, added some egg and flour and fried them. Once cooled, we stacked them in the freezer; since my niece loves all things potatoes now my sister-in-law always has some handy. I recall, when we sliced the goose, she went:
"That's all? There's not enough meat to go around for us all."
My uncle and I stared at her; after all, the bird weighed a solid ten pounds when we bought it. Plus, there was another two or so pounds of stuffing to go, too. Plus, her daughter got steamed chicken, I'm a veggie and our nephew's not that big an eater. Leaves six people to eat the goose. Needles to say, my s.i.l. and I forced tupperware-stuffed shopping bags into the arms of our relatives before they left. And we still got stuck with the brunt of the foodplosion.

Ahh, yes, the blood sugar rush-a-low..been there, done that, banned it. Yesterday I bought some sesame-seaweed-salad and..my body literally inhaled all the nutritients it had been lacking the past week. Of course I tried to smuggle in an apple or so, and my s.i.l. always keeps some fresh fruit handy for her daughter, but still...
I can really recommend it; the one we can buy at our store tastes slightly like fowl. Very yummy, indeed. Must see, if I can get some for New Year's.

No party. Daughter is going to a friends and I don't like driving on New Years, so the parties I would have liked to go to are out because they're about 60 miles away. The one here, I've kind of done a forced seperation with those people for reasons of self preservation. Mainly I'm tired of being stabbed in the back. They haven't gotten the hint yet.

So, likely will curl up at home and watch movies, which is fine also.

Salad look yummy. I think I'm gonna buy a juicer, I miss the one I killed. *L*

Have a good New Year and I hope it's filled with lots of wonderfulness and maybe a few run ins with a teacher that are a bit more controled and to your favor. ;)

*winces* Went to both Karaoke joints on my birthday, and guess, who I ran into? Exactly. His girlfriend(?), about my age, endless blonde hair, a little chubby but rather cute *and* smart has a voice like Rihanna with a hint of Alicia Keys to it. Naturally, me with what little voice my cold left me stood a snowball's chance in hell against her. So much for trying to impress him..!--'

So, I'll do the same as you; maybe break into my birthday present(Season 2 and 11 of CSI, along with 'The Godfather'l-lll), maybe play some Civilization or AOM, watch 'Dinner for One'(a must on New Year's, just like 'Karma Chameleon) and spoil my lil' ol' self with goodies.

All the best wishes to you and your loved ones, take care of yourself, stay in good health and find the strength within to dream on.
