The sad thing is... I was stopped twice in the last year -- apparently routine checks because I didn't get a ticket or a warning or anything--and neither officer pointed out that my license was set to expire soon, even when I told them I was planning on staying in the country one more year.... unless that was their so-subtle-I-missed-it hint. Which is quite possible as the one time was late and I was extremely tired, and the other I was heading home from work early due to ailings

No, luckily. we just got a new coordinator who's trying to process and organize my and another's paperwork. She called yesterday asking about it, so I took a look and.... well, damn. That's not good, is it?

Honestly.. I think I'm still in that state of shocked incrediblity... I mean, how could I not have known? How could my coordinator, the other person in charge of making sure all my government papers and documents are in order, not have known...

That, and just incrediably lucky I haven't been pulled over since April. >.<
