I got in to my Israel trip! I knew I was probably going, but now it's all definite and stuff, which is far more exciting than saying "I'll probably go to Israel in June.
It's specifically focused on environmental issues, which will be interesting, but with a lot of talk about resources and politics, which makes me happy. Also, there will be 8 Israeli people of the same age group joining us for the whole trip, which is apparently special because most trips only get them for a few days.
I get to see Masada!
Wow, this is the first time I'll be going over any oceans. Cool.
Little else is new. I can't wait until May 7th, filled with trepidation about the "real world" and "not being in college" though I am.
And apparently quite a lot of relative-people are flying out from the East Coast for graduation. I'm not sure why, but it will be nice to see them. Not quite sure how I'll get tickets for them, but oh well.
St. Erkenwald is an interesting poem. And there has been, between watching Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal this weekend and reading Juniper Tree and Hansel and Gretel in class yesterday, a good deal of discussion about cannabalism and other such interesting topics and cultural taboos. This is pleasing.
Watching cherry blossoms fall out the window. Pretty! Flowers!
