Late winter in the mountains...
After last weekend I woke up rather early on Tuesday morning and we drove across Stevens Pass (still nearly 12 feet of snow at the summit!) and discovered that Castle Rock was wet. So was icicle ridge. But Peschasten seemed fine, and so it was except when it rained.
So I did get to climb, for a little bit. Orchard Rock continues to be fun, especially at the top, where there are two huge rock things with about 3-5 feet of space (and more rocks) between them. Sat at the top of one of them and wished we had not forgotten the camera. I'll post pictures I did take as soon as they are sent to me...I left them on my brother's computer. I also took a lot of pictures of cherry trees at the arboretum.
Achieved very little over break other than that, after the first weekend. I think the biggest accopmlishment was the acquisition of a new dress. And it took far too long to get back to Portland, because of people being late and horrible traffic.
So little time left here. I must not let it slip by unnoticed. It should be memorable, I hope, even if only for writing papers and such, but hopefully in a good way.
Oh, and if our class as a whole averages 80 or above on our next Latin quizzes our professor will eat a tequila lolly complete with worm. I don't know why he is doing this, but hey, cool...it looks seriously disgusting, if that counts for anything...
