Cosfest 2008 PICCYS!!!!!!!!!
Woot!!! Cosfest picture time~!!!! Finally got them from some of my frens! So i'll post what i have first! Plus there's a video! ^__^
I'm gonna start with our in-progress stage in the morning at Hweeling's house, pics of us, and then some pics of other cosplayers that my frens took(plus some i nicked from sgcafe).
Okay we all met up at Hweeling's place at about 10 plus in the morning. Pretty late bue we THOUGHT we could finish quickly. However we ended up only reaching Downtown East at 3 plus cos we had so much to do! Doing each other's hair, make up, clothes, accessories etc. Gahhh! Next time i'd def start EARLYYYY in advance to avoid the last min rush.
Here we are, all doing various little arts and crafts projects. Over here dear Tracy was super sweet to be helping me with my pants and Sharene with my hat. Ahhh thank you ladies!!! *hugz*
Hahaha this was too cute not to post! Those are my normal black working pants. They were so boring, but pinning some belt hoops from Hweeling's brother's punk pants sure helped jazz it up!
Make up scattered all over the table, our lunch, fruits, drinks, bits of lace and ribbons, scotch tapes, pins, tissues etc etc. You name it, it's probably on the table. LOL! We're sorta getting ready here. Doing each other's make up and hair and some last touch ups on our stuff.
I love this! It's the 3 monkeys chain! Carys is doing Sharene's hair, and Sharene's doing mine! Like monkey's grooming! And Julia's standing by helping us out. Now that's efficiency. Hahaha!
Here's Tracy getting her make up done by Carys. I did Julia's(the caterpillar), Sharene's(the queen) and some of Hweeling's(Alice) make up...cos i'm totally useless at hair. Hahaha best to stick to my strength.
Cary's did my make up! I'm the last one to be done. I realllly wanted to look like Ruki(from the japanese group GazettE) mad hatter look but that was seriously way out of our league to achieve. That pic is to DIE FOR and DROOL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got this pic off sgcafe!!! Woot!!! Someone actually posted pics of us! I wasn't expecting pics of us cos firstly we arrived really late; we didn't pose alot in the open(shy lah...first time and we didn't have time to practise poses); and we basically hid in a corner for some time. Haha!! I need to get boots!!!!!!!!! But so happy that there was one in the forum. I doubt ppl even knew who we were cosplaying.
In case you still dunno, we were doing a goth/punk version of the Alice in Wonderland charas. I read that there was an Alice group in day 1 so i'm really relieved we didn't coincide with them. I saw a pic of their mad hatter and she was really tiny and cute. *whew*
My 4 inch heels was pure TORTURE on my feet. I wouldn't have been half as exhausted if i was wearing better shoes but sadly, i was cringing all the way. And i kept doing that crouch pose and when you pose, suddenly a swarm of ppl with cameras just appears out of nowhere! They're like hornets i tell you! I kept holding that pose while my legs were trembling with stress(i'm not joking, i really was trembling) and we were all whispering "are they done yet?!!"
Me at Burger King! I'm tired and hot(i have lik 3 layers of clothes on me) and a nice cup of cold sprite was just heavenly. Heehee i've always found it funny when ppl in cosplay drinks or eats fast food, so i couldn't resist this shot. Oh and pls take a sec to admire my hat becos I did quite a bit of customization on it. Blue ribbon, black lace, black rose with feathers, gauze, poker cards, and a hanging chain. *phew* Out of all my blings and chains, i'm proudest of my hat.

Doesn't our Caterpillar(Julia)'s eyelashes rawk!?? I'm pretty happy with the make up i did on her but this totally took it to a whole other level. So cool!
*Gasp*!!! The Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter, having an illicit rendevous at the local BK outlet in broad daylight!? While the King is away in The Land of Teacups recuperating from his last incident with the Chesire cat! Oh the scandal!!!!
While somewhere in the vicinity, the ever late White Rabbit finally takes a breather with a nice cup of overpriced coffee. Mmmmmm....
Dun tell anyone, but that's the display for the Care Bear ride for kiddies. Hahaha! But it was so cute and "wonderland-ish" that we just had to take a pic there. It's like the arcway to Wonderland!
This pose...is not easy. Esp with high heels, restrictive outfits, and the effort not to step or jab each other as we got closer for the pic.
Out in the grass field! And here's the Queen with her cloak flying in the wind. Actually we had to make her throw her cloak out a few times before we got this wind swept pic. LOL! Her crown is hand made! So is her cloak thingy. Isn't that so cool! I lack such handicraft talents!
Ehhhhhhhhhh....dun ask me what's going on here. Apparently our Alice and Chesire cat has gone...batty in the sun. XD
There was a puppy!!! Omg it was soooo damn cute! And the funniest thing happened! Okay when a lady brought her puppy out on a leash, a bunch of us cosplayers just went up gushing and cooing at it. We all wanted to take a pic carrying the dog but when the owner said it just peed, most of them didn't want to. But i didn't mind! Haha i'm so used to my own dog. So she just handed me the leash and then walked off to stand in the crowd! I'll tok more on that later cos there's a video to go with it! For now, lookie the sweetheart!
It's a smiley puppy! I could just eat it up. So damn adorable! Haha and it kept licking my hands and nipping my gloves...ahhhh!!!!! *huggles*

Haha we're trying our best to pretend that this is a magical garden where the weird and wonderful creatures of Wonderland hides and skulk around in. Please ignore the civilians, cramp space, sparse flowers and tile roofs and bulidings behind us. Hoho!
Lastly, The Mad Hatter harassing a sleeping Alice. Or more like looming over her vulnerable state, with evil and dark thoughts of torture on my mind. Kukuku~!!!

Very lovely Rozen Maiden. Somehow, i've seen quite a few Rozen Maiden cosplay online from various countries and majority of them usually looks good. This is no exception.
What a cute girl! Omg i luv it when kids cosplay! So on!!! I didn't see her sadly, but i tot she looks so cute in this pic that it needs a shout out. Oh and on another note, i was so happy when a mother asked me and Hweeling(Alice) to take a pic with her daughter. Hahaha! Happy happy, ppl tot we looked nice enuf to ask us for pic.
And i need to say something. The first guy to ask for a pic, i didn't realize her was asking me! A guy just came and tap me wanting a pic, and i tot he wasnted a group pic. So all of us did a pose. Then after he was gone, my frens all said he looked like he wanted a pic with only me. OOOooops!!!! My bad!!! Gomenasai!! And thank you cos i'm super flattered. *blush*
Another girl with the Bishounen look. Dammit how do they do it??! I tot her outfit looked simple but lovely. And her long elegant fingers really helped attain that violinist look.

Holy freaking crap! Best outfit there hands down! It's Iron Man in the flesh er...metal! Damn. Bloody. Cool. Enuf said.
Another serious pro. Are these really cosplayers or were they promoters or professionals there to do some media gimmick cos they looked really well done. This is a damn impressive Gundamn suit. Live size version!!!!
I luv their gowns. They're the sort of princess look that i adore when i was younger. Really wish i could pull off that look. =_=" Props for the outfor and wigs man.
Black butler cosplay. Now this is one cosplay that i really wanted to do cos i like the boy's look vvv much. Esp with the roses and old english outfit. And this girl just did it really nicely. Gahhh but i'm too tall to cosplay a little boy!!!!!!!!! Will it work if i said i'll be the grown up version. LOL!
Props for the props man. Seriously there were so many ppl with frigging awesome props this year. I saw huge swords, spears, chain balls, knives, fans, guns, etc etc. You name it man!
This guy is really good. Good at dynamic posing, great outfit and cool spear. I noe he's cos-ing a game but i forgot the name now. Keke! This game must be pretty popular recently cos i saw cosplay of it at EOY 2007 as well. That and this year's cosfest has loads of DGM and Vampire Knights. (it's like everywhere i turn i see a VK uniform).
The sword! The swoooorddddd!!! In my opinion, best prop i've seen so far. It's taller than the person!!!
Okay finally that's all the pics i'm posting now. Omg soooo many piccys! Forgive me if this killed your PC speed. Now to end with the video of the dog i was talking about. Here's what happened. The owner(the lady in pink shirt in the crowd) just handed me the leash and went and join the CROWD of ppl forming around me!! I was pretty surprised cos i tot she'd take the dog away after i took my picture with it...i didn't expect her to leave it with me(a total stranger) and stand among the crowd smiling. And it made me look like the owner of the dog, and she a normal passerby. Gahhhahaha!!! A small crowd gathered around me as the puppy played and roll around, licking and nipping and barking at random ppl. Hahah! I bet they tot it was mine. But seriously the puppy was so cute but i was feeling abit embarrassed. Hahah and it ran between my legs too! Weird to be at the centre of attention. Oh and you can't really hear my voice in the video(the one you can hear is my fren Hweeling who is recording it) but i was telling the puppy not to bark at small boys and photographers. LOL!
