EOY 2007 Cosplay!!! Woot!!
This is going to be a major, MAJOR pic heavy post so if your connection is slow, i apologize for killing it further. =_="
Since i had some shitty days at work, i tot chilling and having fun at the 2007 EOY would be a good way to unwind. Dammit, seeing them makes me wanna cosplay. Sorry i meant crossplay. ^_~
I went with some of my j-class peeps, namely Carys, Wee Jin(the 3 of us are known to be super noisy together) and Sharene. And the good thing abt this bunch is that they are the most "onz" of the group. As in the most willing to do stoopid stuff and not be afraid to look like idiots. Hahaha as u shall see. *DUM DUMMMM*
Okay, let's start off. Met up with the rest after my sat half day work(which most of them are late! Grrr!) and sadly there were some last min withdrawals from this outings. *sigh* which made me remember why i hate organizing -- the late replies, the non-commital response, and the VERY irritating few who will ask me to name every single bloody person going so they can CONSIDER if they wanna go or not. Dammit a simple yes or no would've suffice!

I'll say this abt this year's cosplay. I saw some really REALLY awesome outfits that totally blew me away with the effort the ppl has put into it, and i also saw some that burnt my retina from the sheer scariness of it. As in the look is...erm...shall we just put it...not very appealing. LOL! I'm sorry i dun mean to be a critique but a couple of them just really shocked me. Some were sadly not as good as last year's tho. I shall discuss more as we go on.
So here's me, Sharene and Carys at the mrt. I took the opportunity to dress up since i wouldn't really wear so much out on a normal day abt town. Just wouldn't bother with the stares that ppl WILL give you. Wee Jin, my camera man cum bag holder cum book holder, was a real lifesaver since it freed me up to run around snapping pics. OOps! Hehehe!
On the escalator ride up, i saw some shrub design thingys outside that were in terribly obscene poses! Seriously, it was so funny it just warranted a click of my digi!
One of the first few cos-er i saw. Gotta give this girl props for the wings man. I saw her trying to walk and manuver around with those puppies and in the crowd it was no easy feat. Most of the time she needed a couple of ppl's help to move or to prop the wings up for poses.
They're so familiar! I noe they're from a game but i can't rem what! Ahhhh!!! Nonetheless, cool outfits and poses! The whole blue lion face chalks up extra points for effort!
I do like these D.Gray Man villians. Know why? Cos they even went and bronze their skin! In order to appear to have darker skin tones JUST like the characters(granted the manga version is gray skin but having gray paint on your face might not turn out very pretty). Loving the attention to details. Plus i like her hair lots! All she needs is a purple umbrella with a smirking pumpkin at the tip and i'll applaud her rite there.
I'm abit lazy to remember their names rite now cos i'm sorta out of the anime at the moment. Never fear i will get back in!

This is one of the outfit that took my breath away. I think there's an actual hoop underneath so she did need help while walking but she looks sooo nice with all the roses and curls and intricate details! A lovely queen if i do say so myself.
If i'm not mistaken, this is from Trinity Blood? At least i think so. The Trinity Blood cosers have the best outfits IMHO. The intricacy, outrageous designs, and very well-made weapons(that thing she's holding is actually made of METAL people! Not styrofoam, not wood, not plastic! Hard solid METAL which hurts when i accidentally brushed against it). Plus she poses really cool! Pretty close to being a bishounen. Hehe!
Duuuudeee one of my fav cos-er at EOY! ROCK LEE!!!!! Who DOESN'T LIKE HIM??? Lookie his funky green leotard and orange leg warmers. And he is a GUY! BONUS POINTS!!! He really has the "sei" of Rock Lee man! The feeling is just right. You can almost see the sparkles around with the flaming fire of passion burning in his eyes, amid a backdrop of crashing waves. Hahah! And he's with SpongeBob! Couldn't have picked a better location to pose man! And he's quite funny! When he was with a group of other Naruto cos-ers, the Tsunade cos-er was taking a drink, and i heard him screech "saaakeeee! You must be drinking sake! I want sake!!!!" LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet sweet outfits. Some of the best i've seen. I can't imagine the hours poured into those details. And to wear those layers around. I was already feeling hot there, i think they're probably well lubricated with those clothes. Hahaha! I like the look of the girl on the right best, for some reason. ^_^

AHHHH Fangirl! One of THE BEST Hani x Mori cos-ers i've ever seen! As in from around the web, not just Singapore. Sure other Hani(s) usually consist of cute girls with big doll eyes and a dimple, but dammit this is the only Hani i've seen that MATCHES THE HEIGHT of that shown in the manga! Hani is supposed to be tiny and able to sit on Mori's shoulders and LOOK! YAHH OMG! That kid is so cool! Cos-ing at that age already! I wonder how old is he/she?
Yahhh so frigging cute, waving the rose around too. And i love it when Mori just walk off with Hani continually sitting on top! LOL! Usually other normal sized cos-ers are bigger and heavier so the moment the camera stops flashing, the Mori would dump the Hani onto her own feet. But this dude(cool stoic face Mori too) just walked off with the kid bouncing on this shoulders! PLUS PLUS PLUS POINTS! ++++++

If you're wondering who's taking these piccys for us, what we did was to tie my camera to the top of a banister stand surrounding the christmas tree, set the timer and the person setting had to run like made to our position before the flash went off. Haaahaha! Seriously hilarious, running back and forth!
We tried a running pose! Omg this was so insanely funny! I wonder what ppl were thinking of when they saw 4 kiddies stepping back a distance from the tree, taking up a position waiting for the timer to alert, then making a mad dash for the tree. Hahahah! We tried this a couple of times and both i had to kneel down from laughter! Lookie it even has its own blurry effects! Kukuku!
So after running, here comes a walking pose. Wee Jin was marching, Carys obviously trying to do some slinky catwalk bust-thrusting walk(LOL!), i'm swinging my arms like some deranged can-can dancer and Sharene...is the most normal of all. If you're wondering who's taking these piccys for us, what we did was to tie my camera to the top of a banister stand surrounding the christmas tree, set the timer and the person setting had to run like made to our position before the flash went off. Haaahaha! Seriously hilarious, running back and forth!
We tried a running pose! Omg this was so insanely funny! I wonder what ppl were thinking of when they saw 4 kiddies stepping back a distance from the tree, taking up a position waiting for the timer to alert, then making a mad dash for the tree. Hahahah! We tried this a couple of times and both i had to kneel down from laughter! Lookie it even has its own blurry effects! Kukuku!
So after running, here comes a walking pose. Wee Jin was marching, Carys obviously trying to do some slinky catwalk bust-thrusting walk(LOL!), i'm swinging my arms like some deranged can-can dancer and Sharene...is the most normal of all. You can see how off we were when this is our definition of walking to the tree. Haha!
