I picked up the first one of these books at the book fair on the recommendation of one of my students and then proceeded to read everything they've written in a few months. And I wanted more. They're most definitely Young Reader, no mistaking that. They're not written with adults in mind, mostly. But they are charming. They're all written in letters and memos and press releases. The format is a lot of fun and the characters are completely likable. The puns are very sharp (and there are quite a few that only adults or a very smart child would get) and I admit to giggling at quite a few things. They're educational without being pedantic. They're just completely readable books and I recommend them highly. Letters From Camp (which is a parody of the Partridge Family and the Brady Bunch) is my favourite and would be most enjoyed by adults. Very cleverly done. I can't wait to use these in a classroom.
