Today's Smile: The following conversation just occurred as my mother and I were walking out of the grocery store. Jim is my mother's boyfriend, he's a big Patriots fan.
Me: You can tell Jim that I'm going to watch the game tonight.
Random dude walking by: 8:20 start! It's gonna be a tough one, the Colts.
Me: [trying not to crack up] Yup, that's why I'm watching.
Later, Mother IMs Jim, to tell him I'm watching the game.
Mother: Why is it you're watching again?
Me: Pretty much because of Peyton Manning.
Mother: He says: She picked him over Tom too? What is with you women?
(Note: My mother said that Tom Brady doesn't "do it" for her, and she'd rather have Tim Thomas.)
Me: Tell him: Given the choice, I'd rather have Eli.
