So I have a great story. I went out to breakfast with friends this morning. We have this little local place we go to often. (One of my friends is known by name there, he's there so often.) I am (may be, we'll see on Wednesday) gluten intolerant, so I asked the waitress if the omlettes were made with fresh eggs or an egg mix (they add flour to that often). She tells me it's fresh, I'm happy. So she takes out order and then just before she leaves the table, she says to me, "Don't touch the hash browns, they have a flour mix on them." I thought this was very nice of her. But that's not even the best part. When we get the bill, she had put 'allergic to gluten' on the tab, so the chef would see it. I didn't ask her to or even specifically mention gluten, she did that all on her own. I thought that was the nicest thing. I've been so frustrated about this food thing, and what she did made me feel so much better about it. Needless to say, she got a great tip.

I fell asleep last night watching the Sox game. I had to check the score before I left for breakfast, because I knew it'd be talked about. So now, I'm going through pictures as I finish watching it (I'm scoring it, so I can't leave half a scoresheet!). And you get a picspam because of that. Two in one "day". This one is all BASEBALL because I can. Mix of Sox, Rays and Dodgers. (No Phillies.)

Amused by this for two reasons: Jonny Gomes' mohawk thingy. And the numerical order. Especially because the next picture was Shields (number 33) pitching.

*sighs* Chad. It's okay. And, Russell, because I can.

I don't have a crush forming on Aki. Nope, not me.

Nope, none at all. The mohawk is cute.

And there's Aki and Jason.... Yeah, no crush, really.

Catcher vs catcher. It really was a chess game for these two. Pretty cool.

Jonny.... Storm? *snickers*

I was thinking that baseball should do playoff beards, too. JasonBay is Canadian, he should know all about it. Anyway, that was my thought when looking at this picture.

So Jason plays outfield, for his outfielders, just in case they forget. Reminds me of someone else.... I wonder who....

Oh yeah. Him. The amount of time I wrote a standalone 6 on that side of the scoresheet, you might have thought that was an outfield number!

He should say things like "golly gee wiz".

"Excuse me, you want me to what?!" Perhaps Jason's Japanese isn't as good as he thinks it is.

"Wait, that was only ball three? Oh." Okay, it wasn't that, but anyway, Aki.

Carlos and Jason have to be involved in meetings. Just seems to be their way.

"Balfour uses emotion when he pitches." "Do you think he and Orlando Cabrera will be exchanging Christmas cards?" "No, probably not." His first pitch? OW! This happened while I was out with friends and one of them says "Damn! Someone just got beaned!" She wasn't kidding.

But I love that Navi checked on him. I'm also glad that no one lost their head about it.

It shows good sportsmanship. Which people were worried about in this series.

But no need to worry. Navi is a good guy. And JD is okay. They kept showing the dugout when they were talking about it, with Dustin looking all worried, and Jacoby standing behind him (blowing bubbles), trying to see what happened.

This makes Dustin look even shorter than he really is, which is pretty short anyway.

I wish I had the other half of this picture....

...because I love that double date that is the infield. I thought about making this my desktop, but figured what with wanting them to not-win, it wasn't a good idea.

So, yeah, I really love this picture. A lot.

"Is there champagne yet?!" "No, Jonathan, not yet."

I'm not sure who thought fire in a closed building was a good idea, but it wasn't me. Also, I love when they get a picture of them lined up like that.

Those surrounding Jon are not amused by the mascot. Really I like Thunderbug so much better.

Sad!Aki. Aww.

Manny and his pine tar. He had his helmet done up like that his first game in LA.

Papi is wacky. And they always seem to snap the picture here. It just doesn't look good.

Dustin might not be tall enough to high-five way up there, JD.

Is that a low-five? I'm not really sure what Jason is doing there, to be honest.

Sad!Russell. His hair is getting puffy.

Happy!Papi! So at the beginning of the game, Papi and Josh were sitting in the dugout, chatting. I would love to have a mic in that conversation.

Oh, hello Dustin. *coughs*

Where exactly is Dustin's hand going? And why isn't Jacoby paying attention?

And Mark Kotsay. I could like him on occasion. But in a 'Mikey or Youk needs to sit for a game' way, not in a 'plays all the time' way.

Tonight, taping Sox. I can watch the Bruins when they repeat the game at midnight. I really want to call out to work today more than I can possibly explain. I'm so sick of that place. Everyone that's any good has left, it's such a struggle to get myself there. I just don't want to be there.

Edit: [Aaron and Nikky again.] [Oh, I would have liked to have seen that pairing.] [Really, NYR, is that necessary?!]

Edit 2: "They've got playoff beards going on this team. Must be hockey fans." Okay, the TBS colour guy just made me like him.
