More Wedding Stuff
So Beth & I were going to go to the Bridal expo thing at the college today but she got sick so I'm pulling Travis to go along with me. I've never been to anything like this so I'm taking a mini notebook so I can take plenty of notes and I have to try to remember to pick up plenty of pamphlets when they are available.
My mom gave me an interesting idea last night that was to take the icicle lights and use them to trim the reception room. I also have an idea to take the green wire white lights place fake petals around the lights and string them up on a round door lattice to simulate lighted flowers for a romantic entrance after the wedding. I've spent so much time trying to get the right idea that I've not spent a ton of thought on look. I'm going to try to take most of today and work on that and well getting things booked. Like asking Sara's best friend Brian if he'll do the photography, and then we have to think about food. I've thought a little about our music, mostly the thought that it's going to be a cd player and burned cds of our favorite songs. I'd be an ass-hat if I could get away with it and put Hanson on one of those cd's but I probably won't be able to torture our guests like that. Plus I don't make Travis suffer through them so I don't know if I want to punish a whole room full of anti-hansonites, I mean I can name like 3 people in the whole reception hall that won't go, "OMFG turn that shit off!," upon hearing it and one of those people would be me. Eventually I'll get a playlist of the songs that we both want at the wedding but that can wait a bit.
