The designers really want their models back. Yes, the kids were fine, but give me living clothes hanger, right? DUH DUH DUUUUUUUHHHHH!! ( Read more... )
At first it was actually quite fun to have that little twisted guessing game of 'See if the person who gets the most screen time at the beginning of the ep is the one to leave' but now it's actually getting quite annoying
It was really annoying - perfect word - to know the editing was pointing at either the win or the boot right at the beginning. I get that the producers are filming to the lowest common denominator, but still.
His designs were my least fav all along but this time it was really messed up so I -for one- knew right away he was going to be Au'fd.
I really was shocked when Tim declared him "one of the most talented designers I've ever seen." I all but yelled "NO F'ING WAY!" at the television. Why would he say something so obviously untrue?
fact I THINK Tim kinda knew Alexander will be gone by the end of this ep anyway so maybe that's why he decided to put his 'exec producer' cap on during 'Tim Time' and had that dramatic 'First time in PR history' announcement in an attempt to create some drama
It's sad that Tim has gone from honest assessor to drama fluffer.
Zippergate! Bwah! I love how everything mildly disruptive now gets a "-gate" put on it. That's perfect, actually, for the whole tempest in a tea-pot. As mi_nion stated above, once they made the decision, it's done, suck it up and get over it.
Emily- double Blahh...
GASP!! If anything, I think Emily over-pizazzed that outfit, which was why it wasn't in contension for the win. The reason I'm not into her so far is she's trying to hard in her style - it's just too much. I'm still hoping she can pull it back and keep up with the sort of thing she did this week.
And speaking of make over challenge- remember this? ;)
Tempest in a tea pot indeed but as Tim was 'forced' to explain Zippergate to a very board-yet trying to look like an angry headteacher Heidie- I was kinda thinking ; Why would they even give an extra 10 minutes to fix the zipper for the 'client' while not even bothering to do that in any other challenge? There were more than a few wardrobe malfunction cases with one of the 'regular' models where the wanna-be designer would just stitch it on her seconds before she goes out on a runway KNOWING it would make the garment look even worst than it already did so why would they had all this drama in Char's case? But anyway... the point is that even with all the added drama around Alexander AND Char it didn't help any of them, nor did it help us (the viewers...) And btw- I'm an elementary school teacher myself...

In fact IIRC Tim said Alenxander reminded him of "those Proenza boys". Wut?. I look at Alexander's work and all I see is student work. I get that he is young, but so was Siriano and he shows none of the promise that Christian did.
