second chance idol- re-introduction

Taking full advantage of this and introducing you all to Lady Hoshi, cosplayer!

I didn't realize my love of anime till sailor moon(though I did watch and love robotech, transformers and other anime as a small child, I had no idea it was different from other "cartoons").  I went to my first anime con in 1999 and meet 2 of my oldest and dearest friends. I also got to see cosplay or costume play in person.

I had already dresses as a Sailor Jupiter for halloween a few years earlier, but my first offical cosplay was in 2002 when I wore Queen Nephereina to a con.  This picture isn't in too many places online, but pictures of my beginning are important.  I had no sewing skills to speak of at this time. Kinda just guessing what I think would work.

Sometimes my cosplay habit spills into everyday life. A lot of the items I make for my cosplay are now showing up in my every day clothes. This is me visting my friend's store wearing a cosplay top with one of my dresses and a random wig I own.  Yes I own several wigs. half of them for specific cosplays, the others just cause they are so pretty I had to have them. LIke this purple one.

I have dragged others into my addiction

One of my many cousins. I had made that for her for halloween and a sailor saturn for her little sister.

I also have tendencies towards lolita.  At the moment I tend to wear what I called lolita inspired outfits.  Not quite ready to say I am a lolita just yet.

That is my utterly lovely girlfriend and partner in cosplay and life, Purelovely.

And cause I can't get enough of her, more pictures with her.

She will kill me for this next one

I really want to get her into this costume one day

Those costumes she bought from a commissioner, but now I do the sewing for her.  All my work looks so good on her.  It is a hit or miss for me.

One my most hardest to make costumes was this one for Purelovely

This is also the time I spent the most on my own costume. I commissioned that dress from a bridal gown dressmaker. I think I spent over $800.  I tend to block out the exact amount.

To make this long entry short(too late), a close-up of the next cosplay I am making for Purelovely
