Paprika

I was out with
lupus_argentum,
danorsong & JH on Saturday and after going to the comic shop I convinced them to go to Michael's as well. I was looking for lustersheen to make the Stargazer sweater. I didn't see any in stock but I did see another round of Incredible going for $2 a ball. I purchased copper penny because it will match the other yarn I was on the fence deciding if I wanted to make a 2nd Stargazer sweater. The colors of copper penny are so much more vibrant than the pictures show. The main color for that version would be paprika, which is a little more to the orange than the picture shows. Using a non-sport weight yarn like the pattern calls for will require me to actually do a swatch. :-P

In crochet news, I picked up an WIP and decided to turn it into a baby afghan for yet another acquaintance. This was a granny square nine-patch that was intended to become a bedspread. It is Caron Spruce and either Aran or off-white and I am using a bit of orchid in each corner. It is nearly complete so it will work up well for a quick baby afghan.
