Jane Austin....

.... is evil. i think that woman wanted nothing more than to make poor defenseless girls believe in LOVE. and that is evil. lol. love that she writes about doesn't exist in this century... much less this millenium. well maybe it does but it's really really really really hard to find.

where the heck is my Mr. Darcy?

and yes i am referring to the classic Pride and Prejudice. it's an awesome book and i cant believe it has taken me this many years to pick it up. why do i never listen to people when they tell i'll like something? i'm an idiot.

at any rate. not only am i in the process of reading the book.. and let me tell you it is so fun to read the way she writes. i wish we still talked that way. with propriety. and a whole lot of sarcasm (cause i love sarcasm) and humor. and GASP>>>> civility. no WAY. it's so much more pleasant... even in the moments of offensiveness, than they way people talk today. the way I talk today. i have thought so many times before that i was born in the wrong time. but it's no matter. i'm here now. i totally got of track too. i was going to say that not only am i in the process of reading the book... but last night amber and i watched to movie. the one with Colin Firth. that was awesome. and so now i am suitably excited to see the NEW version that's coming out in november starring Keira Knightly.
i have to say. Colin Firth was almost a perfect Mr. Darcy. it's going to be interesting to see how this new guy will do.

at any rate i've have that warm and tingly feeling in my chest all since last night that only a really good love story can induce. so i am both wishing and daydreaming. and of course that brings me back to my initial sentiment about the evil nature of Jane Austin.

i think i'm done now....

ok i lied.

you know i think its incredible that the undertone of her writing is so much more clear that what is said in so many cases. it's all in between the lines. the things left unsaid that make it so romantic. i think it would have been made much less so by outright declarations of love that's eternal and undying. which is interesting. most women want that. hmmm.

ok NOW i'm done

no i'm not.. one more thing.

that book \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ underneath is hilarious and awesome and really great to read out loud on road trips... if you are me. it's highly entertaining to all concerned. that is all.
