I don't think I'll ever grow tired of re-watching InuYasha. The story is much like it's tagline of "a feudal fairy tale" and I guess I just connect with that a lot. The story has demons, time travel, comedy, a few different romances, cool character designs and a solid over-arching main story and themes.
The main InuYasha protagonists enjoying in a rather tranquil moment in the series.
Teen me always wanted to cosplay as Sango (pictured wearing the pink and green) and I think adult me still has the same wish.. We'll see!
This probably means nothing unless you have actually seen the series. But I'm going to say it anyway: When I was in my teens I absolutely hated Kikyo. But as I've got older and have experienced betrayal by a lover, loving someone who you can no longer hold, and such things - I find that I'm more accepting of her character. I dare say she might even be my favourite now. She's a well written female character. It's amazing how a shift in personal perspective can change how you feel about a story's narrative or characters over time.
InuYasha was the first proper anime that I watched in my early teens after being introduced to anime by a classmate. She was the same classmate that I would borrow the DVD volumes from for this series and S-Cry-Ed in year 8 and 9. Her name was Astaisa. She was a nice girl, but was often bullied as she struggled to keep up in class. I believe she had a learning disability of some kind. She was still apart of the outskirts of my friend group throughout high school and I believe that Jaleesa still keeps in contact.
These days, of course, I'm able to re-watch InuYasha on streaming services. At one point I really should get a copy of the physical media on Blu-Ray for both InuYasha and InuYasha: The Final Act. Oh and the movies!
