Overview: I was having a look around in the suburb of Maylands in Perth, Western Australia on Google Maps street view looking for ideas when I came across the house I decided to base my design off of. The particular house I chose was situated across from a house where I used to stay in my early childhood. However, this particular style of home can be found all over Australia. Note the curved part of the roof at the front of the veranda? Rather common in homes of this shape. I haven't been inside such a home, so the inside was just what I decided would be somewhat realistic.

This home isn't suited to being a starter home while furnished the way I have decided to furnish it. However, if you like the layout and style of the home you could move your Sim(s) into the lot unfurnished and throw in basic furnishings if you wanted this to be your initial home.

I didn't want to do another 2 bedroom home. So I decided that I would make 1 room a study. Keeping in mind that the house might be well suited to a working couple. However, the room can easily be turned into another bedroom if desired.

The front veranda is a great place to sip a beer and "throw a shrimp on the Barbie" Has a great little seating area for having a chat with those Sims you want to talk to, but don't want snooping around the house!

The "backyard" is pretty simple. I do think the small garden along the back of the house and in the corner are pretty cute though. With a little birdbath and some hedges at the side.

When you first enter the house through the front door, to your left is the kitchen. Simple, with lots of storage space for entertaining guests.

Next to the kitchen is the dining area. Seats four, but could seat up to six Sims if desired. It just seemed a little weird to have a six seat table in a house that can only accommodate three Sims. It suits the space well. I like the decorative corner display unit.

To the right side, as you enter the home and across from the kitchen, you have the cozy little living room. Perfect for cuddles on the couch after you're feeling lazy from cooking shrimps and consuming beer. Or whatever.

Above we have the study, which is located behind the lounge room.

Nextdoor to the study we have the bedroom. A sexy, modern red/grey style.

Across the hall from the bedroom we have the bathroom. Nothing too fancy here, simple is the best.
