A letter to fandom
Dearest Harry Potter Fandom,
Calm the fuck down, kthnx?
This is the woman who has repeatedly said things to get you into a tizzy because it works.* I have far too many HP theory and otherwise HP related communities on my flist for this 12 post per comm standard on OMG LEKI WHO IZ THE PRINZ!? One per comm is quite enough. Furthermore I doubt the validity of this "confirmation" especially since she previously used this as a working title for Chamber of Secrets and tossed it out. This comes right after a set of title rumors and I'm rather sure this is just to keep you distracted and entertained while she finishes the book.
While I'm addressing the fandom, will all of you who keep asking when the book is set to come out please stop asking. Now I know that it was June of last year that we got OotP but the HP books are not the LotR movies. They are not like clockwork. You must be patient. There has not been a posted release date because the books have not been printed. "Why haven't they been printed," you ask. Because the book is not yet written. It is a WiP (work/writing in progress) and we will not have a date or, I honestly believe, a title that will truly stick until Jo has finished the book.
*-going or saying she had gone into a HP chat room
-telling us she frequents sights and theory boards
-the entire Slytherin/Draco fiasco, etc.
