Lady Birchwood. I'm a bit overwhelmed right now. I have company coming to visit from San Diego on Wednesday: my husband's sister and her two grown daughters, ages 18 and 25. My guest bedroom has been trashed for months because it only gets used for sleeping when I need a place to go to get away from the snoring in the master bedroom. I haven't even been doing that little nightly transfer too much lately. The bed has been piled high with assorted crap: empty boxes, laundry that needs to be ironed, laundry that needs to go to the dry cleaner, miscellaneous papers, books. The bookshelf? Same thing.
I got the queen-size bed cleaned off enough today to strip the bed and start washing the bedding, from the sheets to the blanket to the bedspread. I got tired of waiting for the bedspread to dry thoroughly in the dryer and took it out of there, draping it in the foyer over some chairs to finish air-drying. Within TWO MINUTES, this lovely tomcat of mine was on top of the spread, proceeded to put down another layer of fresh cat hair. I guess he figures that no bedspread in this house should be without cat fur and he's just doing his part to help me out!
Bless his little heart!
